PHOTOS: Drew Barrymore Brings Major Star Power To Rag & Bone’s Front Row

We grumbled the entire walk through midtown Manhattan’s slush and snow early yesterday evening to Rag & Bone‘s fall show. But when we got to Moynihan Station, we found pretzels, mulled wine, little hand warmers, Poppy Delevingne, and surprise! — Drew Barrymore.

While trying to inhale a pretzel as fast as possible while counting the number of Rag & Bone Newbury, Harrow, and Durham boots among the show goers, we spotted Delevingne looking effortless in an oversized oxblood hat, blazer, sweater and skinnies. Err, no coat? “Hell no, I came from L.A. and I didn’t bring a coat,” she explained. “So this Zadig & Voltaire sweater is the warmest thing I have. I’m English, so bad weather doesn’t really affect me.”

Another thing we learned that doesn’t affect the socialite-turned-model is stripping down to her skivvies for Agent Provocateur. “After years of having to get unchanged and changed in front of people on shoots and sets, it doesn’t really bother me,” she said. “It’s just like being in a bikini, but with heels on. Which is definitely very alien, but after about 20 minutes, I was fine.”

Ironically, she doesn’t even celebrate Valentine’s Day. She and fiancé James Cook think it’s “a ploy to make people spend money”, and tend to skip the holiday all together. “I mean, I might tell him happy Valentine’s Day,” Delevingne laughed. “I might even give him a card, but that’s probably it.”

As for the collection itself, David Neville and Marcus Wainwright nailed it. The 1960s air travel-inspired pieces included truly covetable colorblocked coats, utilitarian parkas, short quilted skirts, oversized sweaters in print and solid iterations. Black, dark gray, and olive green hues dominated the runway, with several contrasting pieces in vibrant purple and orange. We found ourselves wanting to wear one of the colorblocked coats right off the runway, but, alas.

Looking over our shoulders to see if there were any more pretzels on our way out, we found ourselves in front of Barrymore, who we didn’t even see in the front row. Sneaky! She looked every bit the incognito star in a large hat and coat, and sporting a deep plum lip, likely from her Flower makeup line.

Barrymore doesn’t come out to runway shows often, and given the blizzard conditions in New York City, one would’ve assumed that she’d skip Rag & Bone’s. Apparently not, she explained: “[It's] just coming and sitting and enjoying!”
